The Challenge

Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world, and one of the poorest. Nearly 50% of children under 5 are suffering from malnutrition.

Despite the island’s beauty, its people are battered by tropical cyclones, limited by poverty, and have little access to healthcare. With poor roads, torrential rains and destructive floods, the need for MAF is great.

Our Operation

Development Work 

Development organisations fly with us to serve those living in isolation – enabling the people of Madagascar to receive primary healthcare, agricultural development, education and disaster relief.

Evangelical Work 

Church and mission organisations fly with us to take God’s love to those living in isolation. MAF aircraft have supported translation of the Jesus film into different Malagasy dialects, and medical safari teams provide physical healing and share the Gospel with isolated communities.
